I am extremely grateful, to all MOS members for shouldering the unique responsibility of presidentship of MOS upon me.

Our Plans
1. ‘MOS at Your Door Step’
- MOS Rural Outreach Program
- – One VR, one cornea & one anterior segment surgeons would visit smaller towns having less than 15 ophthalmologists to have mini CME’S or round table discussion and reder practical training. 10 such places, 2 in each zone
2. MOS Public Awareness Project
- MOS diabetic retinopathy awareness and screening project under the chairmanship of Dr Natarajan in the month of November 2023
- MOS glaucoma awareness program in March 2024
- MOS eye donation awareness program on 10th June and in August- September.
- Pamphlets distributions, posters, press conference, mass screening, radio talk, FM bites, messages and video clips on social media, articles in newspaper, rellies etc.
- Also on CVS, industrial hazards, for drivers, school teachers, children, NGOs & asha/anganwadi workers
3. MOS Social initiatives
- MOS school eye check-up
- MOS mass tree plantation
- MOS annual health check-up for our members
4. MOS Paramedical initiatives
- MOS Paramedical Training and Enlightenment

- ‘Legendary masterclass’ by our own legends in each month – enlighten us with their practical tips and pearls of wisdom.

13. Medical Insurance Issue
- Exploiting Doctors & hospitals
- Making Policy Decisions without taking consent of doctors
- No Grievance Redressal
- Under quoting the prices & making compulsion to sign the MOU under pressure till 31st Oct
- Making 100% cashless without giving choice to the patients to opt for better / Value added services
- Reimbursement charges as per their own tariff
- Hence, we have to fight strategically & unitedly through MOS and at times with the help of IMA, AIOS ETC
- Holding one exclusive webinar in the first / second week of Nov 2023 along with Dr. Nirmal Fredrich (President TNOA) & Dr. Hari
- Appealing all to participate in large numbers
